"The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider" (Isaiah 1:3).

Cows and donkeys have more sense than people.  They know who owns them.  They know who the boss is and who looks after them.  But people do not "consider" the God who made them.

If only people could be made to think, to soberly consider their relationship with God, and what He has counselled in His Word.  Honest reflection opens the door of the mind for God to shine His light in.  People are brought to God and God is brought to people by truth, and  truth must be considered.

We live in a day of uninterrupted stimulation.  People are losing the power of sober reflection.  Things of no consequence are occupying every spare moment.  Flashing television screens, the virtual world of computers, countless toys for all ages, and endless other distractions have left a generation unable to think.  We know the sport scores from last night, but have no idea what bills are being passed in parliament.
Solomon said it is better to go to a funeral than a party, because it makes us consider and reflect upon weighty matters instead of vanity.  "It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart" (Ecclesiastes 7:2).  He went on to say, "It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools" (Ecclesiastes 7:5).
God offers truth to the thinking person.  We are challenged by the good news of salvation from sin and hell through God's Son.  The benefit, however, will not accidentally fall on anybody.  God calls us to hear, to consider, and to respond.  We need to learn from the Apostle Peter, who though He sinned greatly against the Lord by denying Him, did not drown his guilt with a bottle or invent clever excuses.  By thinking on the Word of the Lord and reflecting on his own failure Peter's heart was softened before the Lord.  "And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept" (Mark 14:72).

Because a man for donkey is just right here. He can be cruel and merciful. You can't always be afraid of what you can't see.

The best way to avoid getting hungover is simply to prevent it rather than waiting until you the next day when the pain is already there. The unfortunate truth is that many of us forget to take a vitamin drink or to have the right amounts of water, fruit juice and food after drinking and before sleeping in order to prevent their hangovers.

If you own a blog you know the importance of keeping your blog fresh and your audience interested. It can be challenging to come up with blog posts that won't bore your visitors and is interesting enough to keep them coming back.

If you want comments on your blog, then you must be prepared for both positive and negative comments. The more popular your blog gets, the more negative comments you're bound to earn. A comment, positive or negative, is someone's opinion on your opinion as expressed in your blog. So take negative comments in your stride and don't let it affect you as a person or your blog.
